Expedia TAAP is world-class, web-based booking platform for agents with an unrivalled breadth of travel products and generating over three million agents bookings per year.
At Discover The World, we take great pride in providing sales representation for Expedia TAAP to the travel trade and due to strong growth we are looking for an Inside Sales Representative to promote the travel agency program to a defined group of travel agents in Canada.
This is a business development and account management role that has a specific set of key performance indicators and your activities will include prospecting new accounts, developing business from existing business partners (travel agents), retention of existing clients and ensuring we deliver on our targets.
You will conduct sales calls by phone and/or video link, provide system training through webinars and on occasion will be invited to participate in events, tradeshows and exhibitions. You will also collaborate with other members of our Expedia TAAP team to develop marketing campaigns, deliver sales support solutions and interpret analytical data.
We are looking for an energetic individual, self-motivated, sales driven and analytical with an appetite to learn and who works equally well independently as part of a team.
Your key attributes should include:
• A confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
• Fluency in English
• Ideally some proficiency in French
• Excellent sales- and presentation skills, adept at articulating ideas clearly
• Ability to analyze market data to identify trends and business opportunities
• Strong organizational skills to prioritize and manage the workload
• Working knowledge of a CRM system, ideally Salesforce
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to work and thrive in a multi-tasked, fast paced environment
• Team player who is willing to share ideas, bring a positive attitude and be flexible when
needed
Required Experience:
At least 2 years sales experience, ideally with a company in the travel industry
Remuneration:
We offer a competitive salary (CAD $45,000 – CAD $55,000 range)
