This is a dual role as:
Regional Sales Manager, Western Canada for Discover The World with a 50% time dedication to Expedia TAAP as Sales Executive for Western Canada
Location: British Columbia – remote based.
Discover The World is a leading General Sales Agency, representing companies in the travel industry including airlines, car rental companies, Hotels, Cruise Operators and Expedia’s Travel Agency Affiliate Program.
Due to strong growth in our sector, we are looking for an experienced travel industry professional to represent our portfolio of accounts on the West Coast. You will dedicate 50% of your time and activities to our business partner Expedia TAAP with the other half divided as required across our other clients.
This is a business development and account management role and your activities will include prospecting new accounts, developing business from existing accounts and ensuring account retention. You will conduct remote and in-person sales calls, provide system training (in-person and through webinars) and participate in events, tradeshows and exhibitions. You will also collaborate with team members to develop marketing campaigns, deliver sales support solutions and interpret analytical data.
We are looking for an energetic individual, self-motivated, sales driven and analytical with an appetite to learn and who works equally well independently as part of a team. Some travel within the province as well as nationally and internationally will be required.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, required to make a positive first
impression and to form lasting business relationships
• Strong presentation skills with a high degree of confidence
• Ability to analyze market data to identify trends and business opportunities
• Excellent sales skills, adept at articulating ideas clearly and appropriately to influence others
• Strong organizational skills to maintain customer records and an active sales-pipeline
• CRM skills, preferably Salesforce
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to work and thrive in a multi-tasked, fast paced environment
• Team player who is willing to share ideas, bring a positive attitude and be flexible when
needed
Required Experience:
At least 2 years experience in an account management / business development role in the travel
industry with demonstrable success.
Remuneration:
We offer a competitive salary in the range of $50 – $60K per year based on qualifications and
experience.
