Operations Manager (2015 – 2018)


Built up 12 person team that represent a host of marketing options for the consumer. Mentored and developed personnel, produced training packages, created more useful and complete personal branded agent profiles, social media marketing, fostering business development through various social media sites, met with business development managers to create strategic marketing ideas to boost revenue. Although I didn’t work with overall company budget in my role, I streamlined costs by taking a more green initiative which in turn made significant reductions in office spending.


Oversaw social media and digital marketing initiatives that elevated the company’s profile as a brand that offered more than just cruise packages through newsletters, social media platforms and through industry events.
Generated value proposition by developing a rapport with the local neighbourhood by taking part in local BIA street festivals and creating open door programs that encouraged consumers to come in and just ask questions without the pressure to book. This built up trusting relationships that evolved into future travel bookings.

Provided internal incentive programs to motivate employees to build on the business and helped in the development of a loyalty program to the consumer which inspired them to not only book more but given added bonuses for recommending the additional business to the agency.

Worked with a small team to build the brand. Utilized my business acumen to easily recognize the areas that required improvement; discussed with senior management and implemented the ideas which resulted in savings up to 20% + with proven business strategies.

What I brought to the company was a 26% increase in customer transactions, and an overall yearly increase of 31%, elevating them to Platinum status within the chain and improved customer loyalty.

Contractor, Canadian Airport Transportation Security Authority (CATSA) (2011-2013)


Lead an employee group of 100+ screeners through team building and leadership; conducted a positive work environment that focused primarily on Safety and Security ensuring my team was operating the latest technology and equipment effectively and efficiently – resulting in an increase in productivity.


The importance of safety is paramount in this industry as in any other. Supporting my team of front-line security, providing protection to the travelling public; airports and aircraft my team are able to identify dangerous objects in baggage and on passengers by utilizing diverse, cutting edge electronic detection and imaging equipment in a courteous and professional manner in the least evasive way.


My over 20+ years with the airlines has taken me from frontline staff positions to training and development, marketing, leisure sales and to senior executive roles through experience, learning and growth. I’m currently enrolled at the Wharton School of Business in their Business Foundations course to build further on that experience. I’d be happy to discuss this.
