Ellison Travel & Tours is seeking keen and enthusiastic individuals who would like to join the Ellison team as Group Travel Planners.

The Role

The successful candidates will be responsible for developing customized cultural, educational, and specialized tour programs for groups within Canada, to the USA and internationally. The Group Travel Planner provides a high level of customer service, must work well under pressure and be a team-focused individual with the ability to adapt and support change. We welcome you to come join our zealous and knowledgeable team of travel professionals!

Qualifications

• College diploma or related experience well suited to a travel agent or meeting/event planner
• Travel-related experience or knowledge of the industry an asset.
• Flexibility to work hours including evenings and weekends as needed during peak tour season.
• A background check is required due to the nature of our business working with Minors.
• Accounting experience is an asset.
• Ability to build client confidence and ensure commitments to clients are met, demonstrating excellence in customer service.
• Technological proficiency including MS office, and ability to adapt quickly to changing technology is important in this role.
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Strong organizational skills and attention to accuracy, detail and compliance
• Learning and growth mindset is essential to success in this role.
