Experienced Corporate Travel Consultant Full Time Remote

Bytown Travel Ltd has an immediate opening for an experienced full-time, home-based Corporate Travel Consultant. This is a remote-work position. You will be handling corporate client’s business travel bookings and as such, you should have a minimum of 2 years experience working as a Corporate Travel Consultant.

Although this is a work-from-home position, the candidate would ideally live within the Ottawa area so that they can attend office meetings and other staff events in Ottawa, but not required.

Location: Ottawa (Nepean) – Remote – work from home

Work Hours: 9am-5:30pm (Eastern) – Mon-Fri (excluding Statutory holidays (Ontario))

Qualifications:

• 2 years minimum corporate travel agency experience is required.
• 2 years SABRE skills, including all types of pricing, air, car & hotel reservations, are required.
• Ticketing experience including exchanges and refunds is required.
• Experience and proficiency working with SABRE Reservation System.
• Experience handling meeting, conference and group travel would be an asset.
• Although not required, being fluently bilingual (English-French) would be considered an asset.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
• You have the ability to multi task and are detail-oriented.
• Experience with Zoom and/or MS Teams would be an asset.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• TICO certificate is required.

• Must be proficient with SABRE, MS Word and Excel

• Maintains confidentiality of data, documentation, projects or other sensitive material
• Familiar with published air rules, pricing, and exchanges
• Make and change reservations for air, car, and hotel, including both domestic and international reservations
• Understand ticket exchanges and refunds
• Work with airline travel agent web booking portals to make air bookings and build the air booking into a Sabre PNR
