Executive Director Part Time
CATO Executive Director Job Description – Part-time
- Collaborate with the CATO Board of Directors in developing a strategic plan to guide the organization.
- Proactively identify, assess, and inform the CATO Board of Directors of internal and external issues that affect the organization.
- Act as a spokesperson for the organization to various stakeholders including, but not limited to, current and potential members of CATO, media and government officials.
- Create and present official correspondence on behalf of CATO and/or of its Board as appropriate.
- Provide support to the Board by preparing meeting agendas, minutes and supporting materials.
- Recruit, interview and select staff that have the right technical and personal abilities to help further the organization’s strategy and operational capabilities.
- Work with the Board to prepare a comprehensive budget.
- Communicate with stakeholders to keep them informed of the work of CATO and to identify changes in the community served by the organization.
- Establish good working relationships and collaborative arrangements with members, community groups, politicians, and other organizations to help achieve the goals of the organization.
Required experience and education
Three to five years of senior travel leadership and college degree in a related field, such as law, human resources, finance, marketing (public relations), management, or equivalent experience.
